DIOCESAN YOUTH RALLY
Please read below a message from our director, Fr. Moses Locke:
We are thankful you are considering coming to Youth Rally. If you have been to past Rallies, you know it is an unforgettable experience. If you have not attended, you will surely discover that coming to Rally is something you will look forward to year after year. It is a time of meeting and making friends who share your Orthodox Faith, developing relationships, discovering new things about your Faith, the Church, yourself, and others whom you meet during Rally, and having lots of fun in the process. There is plenty to do at Youth Rally. In addition to time for learning, there is time for activities such as swimming, sports & field games, arts & crafts, trail-walking, and more. We also plan to take an afternoon and evening to go to Canobie Lake Park, a really great amusement park located close to the campgrounds. We hope you’ll join us this year at Youth Rally. Please consider it strongly. You won’t regret it!
In Christ,
Fr. Moses Locke
Youth Rally Director
The Diocese of New England Youth Rally is an event at which diocesan youth come together in a camp setting for Orthodox Christian education, fellowship, and worship. It is a time for learning more about our Orthodox Faith and applying it in the world in which we live. It is also a time for making or renewing friendships, and for having fun!
Youth Rally is hosted at the Saint Methodios Faith and Heritage Center, 329 Camp Merrimac Rd, Contoocook, NH 03229, a beautiful camp and retreat center. The event spans the entire week from August 4th through August 9th, and it is for children of ages 9–17.
The firm deadline for registrations is Friday, July 11th, 2025.
Please find here the Youth Rally packing list, directions, and rules of the camp for your reference. Rules of Rally and the Rally information sheet
A Note on Electronic Device Policy at Diocesan Youth Rally:
Electronic devices such as (but not limited to) iPods, iPads, iPhones, mp3 players, smartphones, smart watches, cellphones, handheld computer games, laptop computers, etc., etc., are not to be brought to camp. Youth Rally is an opportunity for our children to make genuine, meaningful connections with other Orthodox youth and to immerse themselves in our faith. Both of these goals are hampered by the temptation of being on our phones. Campers will always be either under direct supervision, or will be within easy accessible distance of a staff member with a phone. If your child needs to contact you, or you need to contact your child, the director along with the rest of the staff will have their phones and will be able to facilitate communication.
Electronic devices deemed medically necessary (such as a smartphone used to control an insulin pump) may be brought and used with the blessing of the Rally Director in consultation with the Camp Nurse - and under supervision of the Camp Nurse. If your child has such a device, please reach out to the director so we can accommodate them.
